Twenty20 Cricket Guide
June 23, 2009
Twenty20 is a revolutionary format of the game of Cricket that was first introduced in 2003, as a game deisgned to be more entertaining and exciting than the test match and 50 over versions of the game. The format has been a huge success to the extent that crowds attending twenty20 fixtures are better than those at fixtures played under the other rules of the game. This is largely down to the fact that as the name suggests, Twenty 20 Cricket is played between two teams with each batting and fielding for twenty overs each.
The popularity of Twenty20, often reffered to as T20, is such that it has expanded from the domestic game through to International level with the most popualr competitions in the game being the English Twenty20 Cup, the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the ICC Twenty20 World Cup.
The increasing popularity of Twenty 20 Cricket due to exposure on TV and through other media has seen an increase in popularity in cricket betting and inparticular cricket fans are more interested than ever in Twenty20 Betting as they look to place a bet to have an additional interest in the T20 fixtures or competitions. This site is ideal for anybody looking to find out more about Twenty 20, whether it is the rules, fixtures or latest odds.
